Cloud computing has come in a big way into the business world and it is not going anywhere in the future. Nevertheless, the adoption models are changing. What started as a dominantly public cloud environment has shifted to the private cloud. Most enterprises are bent on patronaging more on the private cloud migrating from the crowded public cloud.

This phase of migration has led to the emergence and adoption of the hybrid cloud. It has an impressive growth of over 71% last year over the previous year. Private clouds will continue to be in demand so far as the risk and security factors are concerned.

Enterprises that look to keep control will stay in the private cloud while utilizing the three public cloud models of IaaS, Platform as a service (PaaS), and SaaS.

It is the public cloud environment that is likely to more dominant in the hybrid cloud culture because of its cost-effectiveness. However, the government agencies and other bodies and those with mission-critical applications will stay away from the public cloud and stick to the private cloud.

The hardware costs have significantly come down, component replacements and upgrades are done faster and more frequently. Enterprises are not burdened with additional costs rather all the cost-savings are passed on to them.

The fear of security in the Cloud has now reduced considerably. With new technologies and robust tools, the security aspects are under control. However, as per new reports, lack of competent and trained human resources is the primary reason for the slow adoption of the Cloud.

You must move to the private cloud if your business does not allow you to share the environment with other businesses. The private cloud will stay because of its reliability and control.
