Hybrid cloud is like a local storage drive on a remote file server such as an FTP server. It can be accessed via internet enabled devices like tablets, smart phones, desktop and laptops. With it, you can track your team’s work as well as stay connected with customers. Such hybrid cloud storage solutions are intermediaries which maintain data super sets with the local cloud. It acts as a primary storage option.

Such cloud data can be accessed via browsers or mobile devices. Sometimes, local cloud storages are sets of NAS devices as well as virtual appliances within an Organization. They have multiple devices across locations/branch offices and in Personal Local Cloud instances as a part of employee's laptops. Some organizations have precisely tuned sync algorithms which are capable of syncing Local Cloud instances with the hybrid cloud on demand, or at periodic intervals.

Some local cloud /NAS boxes generally reside in the head office and are accessed via mapping drives. Sometimes, end users access directories required in offices during the course of time. Many a times, cloud syncs certain files which are not sent via e-mails. Some groups maintain the cloud consistently across all local and remote clouds. Customers can work off browsers and access the appropriate files in the cloud, collaborating with the company's employees. In case a local NAS box crashes, a remote clouds act as backup. In case the cloud service goes down, a local cloud acts as backup.
