Hybrid cloud is like a local storage drive on a remote file server such as an FTP server. It can be accessed via internet enabled devices like tablets, smart phones, desktop and laptops. It acts as a primary storage option.

Customers can work off browsers and access the appropriate files in the cloud, collaborating with the company's employees. In case a local NAS box crashes, a remote clouds act as backup. In case the cloud service goes down, a local cloud acts as backup.
