Cloud file storage or CFS is a cloud-based storage service that makes use of the internet for delivery. The service is billed as you use. The two main types of cloud storage services are CFS and cloud block storage. It is recommended for data such as documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other data that are generally file based. For storage of large files such as databases, it is better to use block storage architecture for a better storage experience. Block storage is not commonly offered by storage services because it takes a larger bandwidth to transverse the cloud and latency could be an issue.

Cloud file storage is better than conventional file storage methods in many ways. Data stored in the cloud can be accessed from anywhere and anytime you want if you have access to the internet. Cloud file storage is significantly more convenient and comes with a great deal of flexibility.
