Cloud computing has two types of data centers. One is the containerized data center and the other is low-density data center. Containerized data centers are based on the concept that it creates efficiency to deploy high densities of computing resources with lower carbon wastes. Containerized data centers come in limited sizes and the capacity is rigid and cannot be scaled due to its external shape. These types of data centers are suitable for specific stand-alone purposes. The containerized data center has the possibility of going down if there is an issue as it runs on a single point without alternative backups.
Low-density containers are more performance oriented. The data centers are not sure about their serving capacity. The idea is to allow to start a rack with low density and increase the density in a phased manner to a high-density rack. This will allow better performance without losing the proficiency. This type of data center can be scaled up and down without creating any issues as per the business requirements.
