There are three open source cloud computing databases.

1. MongoDB: It is a non-relational or NoSQL database structure. It supports dynamic schema designs and is adaptable to all the popular programming languages such as C++, java, PHP, Perl and more. It is scalable, cross-platform, open source software and compatible with all the major operating systems.

2. CouchDB: It is an open source, cross-platform document-oriented NoSQL database architecture. It runs on JavaScript for query language using MapReduce, JSON for data storage, and HTTP for API. It does not store data in table form as in a relational database. CouchDB is an assortment of individual documents that maintain their own data and schema.

3. LucidDB: LucidDB is an open source relational database management system mainly built for business intelligence and data warehousing. It stores data in columns and tables and supports read/ write storage. It allows the readers to access the tables even while updates are in progress as well when data is being loaded.
