Kilobyte is a unit of measurement in the computer memory cloud storage. It is referred in abbreviated from as k or kB or KB. A kilobyte to be precise is 1024 bytes but while measuring it is considered as 1000bytes. K, kB or KB (kilobytes) are different from Kb (b in lower case) which then becomes kilobit. Kilobyte is the smallest unit of measurement and are used to measure small files.
The unit of measurement starts with a byte or bit. There are 0.000125 kilobytes in a bit (b) and 0.125 kilobytes in a kilobit(Kb). Kilobyte is followed by Kibibyte (kib) which has 1.024 kilobytes. It goes in this sequence: 1000 Kilobytes in 1 Megabyte, 1,00,000 kilobytes in a Gigabyte, 100,000,000 Kilobytes in a Terabyte and goes on till 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 Kilobytes in Zettabyte. Yottabyte is the biggest size and has 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kilobytes. The increase in the value of measurement shows the upsurge in the traffic to the internet.
