Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware

Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware is a free, open source, wiki-based Content Management System and online office suite. It is written primarily in PHP, with some Javascript code. It has a huge codebase of over 100,000 lines. It was originally called TikiWiki and is now mostly known as Tiki.

Tiki has all Those Basic, Common Features of Most CMSs, such as:

• Creation and management of menus, RSS feeds
• Customization of page layouts
• Performing logging
• Administering the system (done via a browser-based user interface)
• Registering and maintaining user accounts in a flexible permission/privilege system

It has been downloaded over a million times. It has over 1500 unique features/options. It enables websites and portals on the internet, intranets, and extranets. It has a number of collaboration features that let it operate as a Groupware web application and a Geospatial CMS.

It is distributed under the LGPL license. It can run on any computing platform that supports a MySQL database to store content and settings and a web server that can run PHP5.

It features an all-in-one design, unlike other CMSs.

It has Four Major Component Categories, Which are:

1. Tools that facilitate content creation and management
2. Tools that facilitate content organization and navigation
3. Tools for communication
4. Tools for configuration and administration

Its components use other open source projects extensively, like Zend, Morcego, phpCAS, and more. All these tools allow users and administrators to create and manage content, communicate with others, and configure sites. With Tiki, the user can choose from the array of visual themes, which can then be implemented using CSS and the Smarty template engine.

Tiki supports many languages,with full translation in eight languages and partial in nine. One of the biggest open-source teams in the world, it is actively developed by an international team of over 300 developers and translators.
