VMware ESX

VMware ESX is an enterprise-level tool developed by VMware Inc. ESX is bare metal hypervisor that is installed straight into a physical server and enables it to be split into several logical servers. Being bare-metal the ESX software can be installed without the necessity of any operating system. These logical servers are referred as virtual machines(VM).

VMware ESX servers are used by enterprises that look to integrate their server hardware to the maximum extent.
