Grid Security Infrastructure

The Grid Security Infrastructure (GSI), previously referred to as the Globus Security Infrastructure, is a paradigm for secret, tamper-proof, flawless communication between software in a grid computing environment. In fact, safe and reliable communication is maintained with the support of both symmetric and asymmetric encryption. The Grid Security Infrastructure system works on three fundamental concepts, such as privacy, integrity and authentication in order for continuing the flow of communication. However, the role of authorization can’t be overruled when it comes to utilizing the Grid Security Infrastructure system. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the use of GSI system can eliminate the likelihood of data tampering, ensuring individuals and organizations to keep their data secured at all times.
