Movable Type was first released in 2001 and the latest version is the 6.3v. The proprietary weblog publishing system is developed by Six Apart and runs on Perl, php scripting languages. It is available in several languages like English, Dutch, French, Japanese, German, Russian and Spanish. From 2014 onwards, the CMS is available in two editions Pro for the small businesses and Enterprise for the large businesses with many additional features.
