Mozilla Thunderbird is free, cross platform, email client application loaded with features and offers an easy to use user interface. It is an offshoot to the earlier Mozilla Firefox Web browser but Thunderbird has now been separated as the company wanted to focus on Firefox. Mozilla Thunderbird has been quite popular and competes with the likes of Microsoft Outlook and Eudora Mail. Mozilla Thunderbird supports add-ons, extensions that enhance the functionalities of the email client. It offers features like – One Click Address Book which allows a new contact to be added with a click on the star icon and add their profile details with two clicks. It has additional features that allows chatting with multiple contacts, personalized email address book, folders, add-ons. Mozilla Thunderbird offers enhanced privacy and phishing protection. It comes inbuilt with anti-spam solutions and cuts off junk mails. It offers automated updates as and when a new version is released.
