Croogo is open source Content management system built for all types and sizes of websites. It supports PHP5.3 and 5.4 scripting languages and is compatible to MySQL and PostgreSQL databases. The CMS is powered by the popular CakePHP Model-View-Controller (MVC) framework. The software was first released in October 2009 by Fahad Ibnay Heylaal. Croogo comes inbuilt with three content types of Blogs for blog posts, Node and Page for pages. WYSIWYG Editor, comments, RSS Feeds, Syndication and Custom fields for content. It comes with additional features like Blocks, Menu Manager, File Manager, Users, Themes etc.
Croogo offers a translate plug-in that can be activated from the Extensions and allows the website content to be translated into other languages. It supports translations for Nodes, Blocks and Links by default. But it requires the website owner to let the software customize it to the languages they wish to translate to which can be managed in the settings under languages page. It has the Permission and role features for the users. Croogo also has the customized contacts form for the visitors to submit their messages, issues etc.
Croogo software can be downloaded from the repository on GitHub or the Zip versions from the company website. The basic requirements for the Croogo are the PHP5.3.10 version or higher and MySQL 5.5 or higher versions.
