How to change the Time Zones on Dedicated Servers?

Changing of time zones on a server is not a cumbersome process.

To change the time zone on a dedicated server, the clients have to first login to their account and get to the root via the SSH. Check the current time zone by checking date. The ending will give the present setting.

Locate the time zone you intend to change the working directory to the time zone directory: cd/usr/share/time zone/
Browse for the cd/usr/share/zoneinfo/ folder and search for the different time zones that are available.

In case you want to set your time zone to say Delhi, India, all that you have to do is type cp/usr/zoneinfo/Asia/Delhi/etc/local time. You can again check by using the date command.

In case your server time is out of sync select the "sync time with time server" option. It will automatically resynchronize the server to the time zone of your choice and display the correct time for the time zone you have chosen.

Needless to say, in case you need any assistance, our customer support team is always available.
