Reinstalling Cloud OS - Process And Precautions To Be Taken

You can reinstall your cloud server operating system by following these steps. The first step is to log in to your client area. This will take you to the BETA area of the cloud servers. Next click on the preferred cloud server host for OS reinstall. You are now ready to use the system for reinstalling the cloud OS.

Look for the templates tab on the screen and click on it. You will be able to see the distribution list. Choose the right distribution button for your need and then click the reinstall tab. This will complete the reinstall process.

However, before you decide to reinstall your cloud server OS, there are a few things you should take care of. The first thing to remember is to have a backup of the data on your system. Make sure that it is of the most recent one. This is important because reinstalling will include a formatting process. In some cases, it may even change your hard drive completely. When this happens, all the old data will be removed and not accessible anymore.

Another practical way of saving old data during OS reinstall is to have your old hard disk attached to the server. Use an USB for this purpose. By taking this step, you will be able to access old data on the new OS.
